Early Intervention
We’ve designed the ACES early intervention program to support your child during their formative years, enhance their quality of life, and provide positive outcomes along the way.
Get StartedOur Approach to Early Intervention
The CDC recommends early intervention for children with autism before age 5, and so do we. Applied behavior analysis, or ABA, is a critical early intervention tool for children with autism spectrum disorder. Our team utilizes various ABA techniques to provide your child with transformative results that will echo throughout their life journey.
This highly effective therapy gives your child the best chance at developing strong cognitive and language skills early in life. The ACES team of dedicated, passionate, and caring individuals is committed to bettering your child’s life, one day at a time.
Goals of Early Intervention
At ACES, we aim to teach a holistic and cooperative approach to autism care to provide our clients with the best experience and outcomes. Some of the positive results that we see in our clients who partake in early intervention programming are:
Comprehension of social cues
Increased understanding and use of vocabulary
Healthy expression of thoughts, needs, emotions, and feelings
Use of coping strategies
Hygiene and self-care routine skills such as dressing and feeding
Improved problem-solving skills
Increased self-confidence
Meaningful engagement with caregivers, family members, and peers
ACES Learning Center
These early years are an essential time in your child’s life due to rapid brain development and plasticity, meaning that your child’s brain can create new connections and target core developmental goals. The ACES Learning Center program utilizes early intervention therapies that capitalize on this dynamic time by introducing and repeating many positive behaviors and skills.
ACES Learning Center was created with small children in mind and adapts to the routines and activities appropriate to individuals in this age group. This program can be a great alternative or supplement to a traditional preschool setting. Children have fun doing activities they love like playing, song time, and arts and crafts, with additional support.
Through this dynamic journey, your child will experience support designed to unlock their one-of-a-kind potential and lay the groundwork for a bright and exciting future.
Methods of Early Intervention
Each program we offer creates a learning environment that allows your child to discover new stimuli, people, and settings positively. Therapy stimuli are selected from developmental curricula, such as the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), providing a rich therapy experience. ESDM is a behavioral therapy for children with autism between the ages of 12 and 48 months. It is a naturalistic, interactive, play-based therapy option that applies the principles of ABA. Parent/caregiver involvement is key to early education programming at ACES. Over time, the goal is to give family members tools and strategies that can be used throughout the day with their child to consistently improve language development, social interactions, cognitive skills, and overall long-term success.
